New in Volunteer Roles

The following volunteering opportunities were added to the CVS Simply Connect platform during March 2024.
We have exciting new roles added almost daily onto our system, check out what's new!

 

Bedfordshire Police

Corporate Communications Volunteer

To support the Corporate Communications team with administrative duties linked to workforce recognition, including Chief Constable Commendation and Long Service as well as force awards

Mental Health Hub Volunteer  

To support the Mental Health Hub Manager and Assistant with administrative duties linked to suicide and dementia referrals.

Out of Court Resolutions Team Volunteer

To support the Out of Court Resolutions Team with administrative duties utilising Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PDF documents. Training will be given.

 

Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity

Friends of Jubilee Park volunteer, Bedford

As a Friend of Jubilee Park you can be involved with practical projects, Park promotion and public events. Volunteer tasks may include tree and bulb planting, vegetation clearance, helping with public events, and generally improving the Park for people and wildlife.

 

Disability Resource Centre

Fundraising Volunteer

We are looking for dedicated individuals who are willing to donate their time and skills to help us raise funds for the Disability Resource Centre. As a fundraising volunteer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our events and activities.

Outreach and Events Volunteer

As an Outreach and Events Volunteer, you will be an essential part of our team, supporting our outreach efforts and assisting with the planning and execution of events.

 

East Anglian Air Ambulance

Event support volunteer

Last year saw 200 supporters take on the challenge of walking either 24 miles or 24 kms through the beautiful Chilterns and raising thousands of pounds for the charity. We are hoping to welcome even more supporters this year and are looking for volunteers to help us make our trekkers day the best it can be.

Support the operation of the Section. In particular, the planning and delivery of the Balanced Programme, with the help of other Section Leaders, Assistant Section Leaders, Section Assistants, Young Leaders and members of Scout Active Support as appropriate.

At the heart of their role is a focus on strategy, performance and assurance. Effective Trustee Board governance helps our volunteers deliver fantastic programmes that give young people skills for life.

Secretary / Registrar: Sports Club

Greeting customers: Welcoming attendees to the sessions and providing any necessary information or assistance. Ticket sales: Selling tickets or collecting admission fees from attendees. Managing inquiries: Answering questions from attendees about the sessions, rules and facilities.

 

Parallel Lives Programme CIC

Family Support Worker

Providing telephone emotional and practical support to service users. This role can be completed from home and support worker is able to manage their own time with service users needs.

 

Putnoe Heights Church & Community Centre

Assistant Treasurer

Monitoring cash flow and arranging payment of invoices with the Church Treasurer. Liaising with the Church Stewards and the Church Office regarding records kept by them. Assisting the Church Treasurer with preparing an annual budget.

Treasurer

Monitoring cash flow and arranging payment of invoices with the Church Assistant Treasurer. Ensuring adequate funds are available to meet financial commitments.

Finance Officer (Voluntary)

As Finance Officer (FO) you will work closely with the Managing Director. You will assist with the setting and management of budgets in line with the company’s financial policies and procedures and funder requirements

 

Ridgmont Station Heritage Centre

Ridgmont Station Heritage Centre Tea Room Volunteer Assistant

Your role will include welcoming customers and show them to table, take and serve orders and clearing tables.

 

Wimpole Estate - National Trust

Wimpole Ambassador

We strive to ensure all supporters have an exceptional day when visiting Wimpole Estate, you’ll help visitors get the best out of their day and share the meaning of growing support providing a fantastic environment for all!
